Open Photo Mode from Menu (≡) → Photo Mode. This page covers what each mode can do, aspect ratio, zoom, hiding the UI, and the conditions for taking photos with a friend, based on the official Korean Erinn Guide.
Mode types
- Photo mode: takes the picture of the game screen as it is. Background blur is available only in Photo mode.
- Studio mode: you pick a background in a dedicated space, set the character's pose and expression, and take the picture.
- AR mode: a mode described only in the official Japan server guide, where you place your character against a real-world background and take the picture (on PC, when a camera is connected). The official Korean server guide lists only the 2 modes, Photo and Studio.

Taking photos together in the Studio
- You send a photo request, and when the other person accepts, you take the picture together. The Japanese and Taiwanese official guides add that in Studio mode the names of nearby characters appear on screen and you tap a name to send the request.
- Conditions: you must be near each other in the game, both must be in Studio mode, neither may be in a shoot with someone else, and 'Receive Studio invitation notifications' must be turned on.
- The person who invited appears on the left and the person who was invited appears on the right.
- Draw weapon, look at camera, and pose/expression apply to both people in common, while other options and the background apply only to each person's own screen.
FAQ
- How do I hide the menus and buttons on screen when taking a picture?
- You can hide the UI with the eye icon at the top left of Photo Mode. On PC, Ctrl+H also toggles it.
- How do I take a photo with a friend?
- Both of you enter Studio mode and stand near each other; one person sends a photo request and the other accepts. The other person's 'Receive Studio invitation notifications' must be on, and neither of you can be in a shoot with someone else.
- How do I blur the background?
- Background blur is a Photo mode-only feature. It cannot be used in Studio mode.
