How to Change Class & Advance in Mabinogi Mobile

In Mabinogi Mobile, changing class (advancement) comes down to switching the weapon you hold. Only your first advancement is done through the advancement quest; after that you can change any time by swapping weapons or picking a class from [Profile] > [Class], and the levels of the classes you've raised stay as they are. This page summarizes how to change class and advance, the requirements, and what to prepare, based on the Korea official Erinn Guide and the Japan official game guide (October 2026).

How Your Class Changes

  • Your class follows the weapon you equip. You can also pick one yourself from [Profile] > [Class] in the menu.
  • If you own the emblem for the class you switched to, it is equipped automatically.
  • Switching classes keeps each class's level and experience. Go back to a class you were leveling and you can pick up where you left off.
  • Weapons for other classes can be obtained from weapon shops, blacksmiths, the exchange, and similar places.

Trainee Classes and Advanced Classes

  • Classes come in two stages: "trainee classes" and "advanced classes."
  • While you are still a trainee, you can only switch between trainee classes.
  • Once you have advanced, you can freely switch between the classes you have already advanced into.
  • The first advancement quest has you hand over the trainee weapon you have equipped, so that weapon is gone. However, any runes you engraved and gems you socketed carry over to the new weapon you receive after advancing.

Emblems and Class Master Medals

An emblem is class-specific equipment that raises your attack power based on your class level and your weapon's attack power. The higher your class level, the stronger its effect.

  • You receive your first emblem by progressing the advancement quest.
  • Emblems for other classes are exchanged for 5 Class Master Medals at the shop of Aranwen, the NPC at the Dunbarton school.
  • Emblems for classes you have already advanced into can be bought for free.
  • You receive 1 Class Master Medal each time a class reaches Lv.25, 35, 45, 55, and 65. You can also get them when you rebirth using a Rebirth Stone.

FAQ

How do I change class (advance)?
Your first advancement is done through the advancement quest, where you pick an advanced class in the same category as your trainee class. After that, you switch simply by equipping that class's weapon or picking it from [Profile] > [Class] in the menu.
What do I need to change classes?
Equip the weapon of the class you want to switch to (while you are a trainee, you can only switch between trainee classes). Weapons can be obtained from weapon shops, blacksmiths, the exchange, and similar places. For that class's emblem (class-specific gear), exchange 5 Class Master Medals if it is a different class, or buy it for free if you have already advanced into that class.
Does switching classes lower the level of a class I've raised?
No. Each class keeps its own level and experience, so if you switch back to the original class you can keep leveling it from where you left off.
Can I advance into a class of a different category while still a trainee?
While you are a trainee, you can only switch between trainee classes. Once you have advanced, you can freely switch between the classes you have already advanced into.
How do I get the emblem for another class?
Exchange 5 Class Master Medals at the shop of Aranwen, the NPC at the Dunbarton school. You receive medals when a class reaches level 25, 35, 45, 55, or 65, and when you rebirth.
Is there a way to level up classes I raised in the past all at once?
Using the item "Spirit's Trace" lets you grow not only your current class but also classes you have raised before.
